Through these concerted efforts, the project seeks to empower women and amplify their voices in the cultural landscape of the country.

Objectives:

  1. Increasing Women’s Participation in Cultural Spheres:
    – Raising the representation of women in cultural institutions and events.
    – Creating more opportunities for women to contribute to cultural content and production.
  2. Showcasing Women’s Cultural Achievements:
    – Organizing exhibitions, performances and talks to highlight women’s artistic and cultural accomplishments.
    – Documenting and sharing success stories of women in the cultural domain.
  3. Building Women’s Cultural Capabilities:
    – Providing training programs in the arts, literature and other cultural disciplines.
    – Offering scholarships and financial support to nurture young female talents.
  4. Advocacy for Gender Parity in Culture:
    – Lobbying relevant authorities to adopt policies supporting women’s participation in culture.
    – Raising societal awareness on the importance of women’s inclusion in cultural life.

The project to empower Sudanese women culturally is a pioneering initiative aimed at increasing women’s involvement and representation in the cultural sphere of the country. The project has a multi-pronged approach – it focuses on raising the profile of women in cultural institutions and events, providing more avenues for them to contribute creatively to cultural content and productions.
